Our Doctor
Dr. Lorena de la Garza, O.D.

 

Dr. Lory De La Garza received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry.  She was awarded "Excellence in Primary Care" for her superior cumulative performance while a student clinician.  Dr. De La Garza completed her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University where she majored in Biology & minored in Psychology.  During her undergraduate studies she received a "Distinguished Student in the College of Science Award".  

 

Dr. De La Garza is not only a therapeutic and glaucoma certified optometrist but is also specialized in surgical comanagement and corneal pathology from her previous experience as a refractive surgical center clinical director.  Her comanagement included LASIK, INTACS, PRK, and Cataract surgeries.  

 

In addition, she was an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Houston College of Optometry for the past 5 years.  She has assisted in over a dozen "vision mission" clinics in the greater Houston area with organizations such as 'OneSight' & 'See to Succeed.'  She also served as an optometrist for TOMAGWA Healthcare Ministries & 'Let's Go See'. During her free time she enjoys hiking, traveling, cooking, snowboarding, salt water fishing, concerts, and Aggie football.

Spring Creek Eye Care is located in The Shops at the Foothills Mall in Fort Collins.  We provide full scope family eye care services for surrounding areas of Fort Collins, Timnath, Severance, Windsor, Laporte, Bellevue, Masonville, Arrowhead & Wellington.  From the moment you walk into our office, our mission is to help you feel welcome and comfortable throughout the exam process.   We provide the latest in eye exam technology and contact lens options giving our patients the best vision possible.

What Does this Mean?
Although we will continue seeing routine eye exams for the meantime, there will be someone available to answer any questions, place contact lens orders and schedule urgent patients by phone from 10-6pm.

Feburary 2017

 

Dr. De La Garza participated in the See-to-Suceed Vision Mission Clinic with the City of Houston & UH College of Optometry.  The mission clinic for the 2015-2016 school year completed over 10,000 eye exams for the children of HISD.  To learn more about this great community organization please click the links below.

We have the newest technology in daily disposable contacts launced by CooperVision.

 

January 2016

 

Coopervision now has a new line of daily disposable contact lenses.  'Clariti 1 Day' are made of a breathable material, high water content & UV protection.  They are the only line with this new technology that is also available in spherical, astigmatism, and multifocal options.

 

 

September 2015

 

We have the latest in digital retinal photography.  The Optos Daytona allows Dr. De La Garza to be able to view inside the eye without the use of dilation drops. It is not only convenient for patients but allows for her to monitor ocular diseases and their progression.
